**We will be inspecting and pulling items that we feel are out of style and will not sell well.**

*REMINDER* Concierge Consignors must have a minimum of 40 items to participate.

CONSIGNING 101: How to Prep and Helpful Information

  • At least 60-65 lb cardstock paper WHITE ONLY
  • Hangers: wire preferred (dry cleaners often have these for free) but we do accept plastic adult and children hangers. (no clipable pant hangers allowed)
  • Safety pins to attach tags, no straight pins. Here’s a link to the best deal on pins. One box will last multiple sales! Size SMALL good for pinning on tags or securing singles to hanger) or size LARGE (good for pants, grouping multiples)
  • Storage bags: zip closure bags, both quart and gallon size are great for toy parts and small clothing bin items.
  • Packaging Tape
  • Twine or zip ties to secure shoes, attach parts of toys together, affix tags to non-clothing items (ie: stroller handles), Secure equipment pieces together
  • Saran Wrap: secure puzzles or multiple pieced items together.
  • Find a space to work in for several days. The ability to spread out is very helpful when you’re organizing.
  • Gather things together, from children’s bedrooms, attic, garage, playroom, children’s bathroom, etc…
  • Wash and inspect clothing in good light.  Pull out items that are not consignment quality. Clothing will be inspected at drop off. Any items with excessive wear, stains, holes, pet hair or odors will not be accepted. Please only bring your best items to the sale. Our shoppers are savvy and want quality items.
  • Iron as needed and hang clothing items, separating by sex and size.
  • Thoroughly clean all toys, baby equipment and non-clothing items prior to drop off. Check to ensure all pieces are present and necessary items have working batteries.
  • Presentation is important when enticing shoppers to buy your items. Do your best to display your items like you would see at a retail store.
  • Package non-clothing items and prepare for tagging. Zip-lock bags will be your best friend.
  • Check for recalls on equipment and toys that you plan to sell:  Click here for the CPSC website.
  • Price and tag your items through our NEW online tagging system, MySaleManager. View the TAGGING INSTRUCTIONS page for info.
  • Make sure clothing is in size/sex order before loading into car. Rubberband or place upside down trash bags over same sized items. This helps immensely during unload. CLOTHING MUST BE SEPARATED BY GENDER AND IN SIZE ORDER AT DROP OFF!
  • LIMITS We accept clothing size newborn to kids 16. Size NB-18 months is limited to 10 hangers per size per gender. Sets or multiples on one hanger counts as 1. New items with tags, swimwear and costumes are not included in these limits. Items in excess of this limit should be prepared as bin items.
  • SIZING: Children’s sizes run from newborn through 16/18. Different brands list sizes differently. All kids clothing MUST have a numerical size. You will need to google the corresponding size if one is not listed. ie: (size small=6/7, size medium=8/10, size large: 12, size XL: 14/16)
  • BOUTIQUE ITEMS will no longer have a separate section and will count towards your total item limit for size NB-18mo unless they are swaddles or bamboo. We have found that they sell better in the main clothing section. We encourage consignors to still mark the category as boutique in order to inform shoppers of the higher priced brands. View the “BOUTIQUE APPROVED BRANDS” tab below for a list of boutique brands.
  • QUALITY CONTROL: Clothing must be free of excessive wear, stains, holes, pet hair and odors. Consignors are responsible for thoroughly inspecting clothing pieces prior to them being hung on the racks. We suggest inspecting clothes in the sunlight or under our florescent lights at pick-up. Ambient lights at home mask stains!
  • INSPECT & SHOP: We offer the opportunity for consignors to hold one another accountable during our INSPECT & SHOP PRE-SALE. As consignors shop, any hanging clothing or shoes that you find that is obviously unfit for sale may be brought to the satisfaction station and if we agree you will receive a $1 off coupon to use at checkout. The consignor will receive a $1 quality control fee applied to their final payout for all items that we deem unfit for sale. Stained/worn items bring down the quality perspective of everyone else’s items and the sale as a whole. Again, please thoroughly inspect your items prior to drop off!! We can’t stress this enough!
  • Launder and iron clothes if needed and put on hangers. Clothing on hangers should be $3 and above. If less than $3, it should go in a bag in the bins or make it a set/group items together to equal a minimum $3 value.
  • Clothing must be hung with the hanger facing left, in the shape of a (?) question mark. Tags must be affixed in the upper right corner on the front of the garment. **see example below
  • Hang shirts as you would to place into your closet–through the neck hole.
  • Hang pants with 2 safety pins onto THE TOP of the 2 diagonal hanger arms to prevent slippage. NOT the horizontal arm of shame!
**CLIP ON PANT HANGERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
  • SETS: Hang the shirt first through the neck hole then flip hanger around and pin pants to the back of the shirt CONNECTING TO THE TOP OF THE 2 DIAGONAL HANGER ARMS as to not pull holes in the shirt fabric from the weight of the pants.
  • Sort hung clothing items by size (smallest to largest) and by gender, this will help tagging go faster!
  • MATERNITY CLOTHING: LIMIT TO FIVE TOTAL PIECES (1 ITEM PER HANGER!) current-style, brand-name items. DO NOT bring large size ladies clothing, only in-style maternity-brand clothing will be accepted.

  • Please thoroughly clean baby equipment prior to drop-off. This includes washing fabric covers for car seats, stroller, etc.
  • Baby carriers should be placed on hangers for display.
  • For large ticket items, we suggest printing off current pricing information online to show shoppers what a great deal they are getting.
  • Toys sell very well, especially large items, such as Little Tikes, dollhouses, kitchen sets, wagons, etc. Tag these first as they will bring you the biggest payout.
  • Large items (too big to fit in an Ikea bag) will need large item claim tickets at drop off. We encourage you to keep these tags in a ziploc bag in order to place on the claim tickets quicker at drop off.

  • Toys with multiples pieces be put in a Ziploc bag or held together securely with saran wrap. We cannot be responsible for lost pieces, so protect yourself by securing all items together.

  • Shoppers want a deal! You are competing with other consignors to sell your stuff so avoid sentimental pricing! Ask yourself “what YOU would pay for this item” and bless another child/family with reasonably priced merchandise.
  • Over-priced items have a negative effect on the sale and will be pulled from the racks at the discretion of Weeruns’ staff.
