There are MANY perks to volunteering with WEERUNS. First and foremost our volunteers SHOP FIRST and can EARN MORE on their consignment items. You get first dibs on items before we open to consignors and the general public. You can also earn up to 10% more on your consignment items simply by volunteering. *View our Volunteer Perks Program for details. Volunteering is an amazing way to meet other local moms and have some fun, kid-free time. Many lasting friendships have blossomed through WEERUNS over the past 25 years. The only requirements we have for our volunteers is to show up with a smile, a serving heart and comfortable shoes!

Volunteering is open to anyone but is not a requirement to consign and/or shop. We have many grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. who volunteer simply for the fun of it and of course because they get brownie points from the kiddos in their lives for all of their great finds while shopping. 

Volunteer shifts are 4-hours in length. VIP volunteers work TWO 4-hour shifts, Regular Volunteers work ONE 4-hour shift. VIP Volunteers shop on Tuesday at 4:30pm-9:30pm and Regular Volunteers shop on Tuesday at 6:30pm-9:30pm.

VOLUNTEERS MUST IMMEDIATELY EMAIL INFO@WEERUNS.COM OR CALL STEPHANIE AT (336) 889-5159 IF THEY CAN NOT FULFILL THEIR VOLUNTEER SHIFT COMMITMENT. 

We require a 48-hour notice to reschedule or cancel your volunteer appointment. We understand emergencies happen but we rely heavily on our volunteers to keep their scheduling commitment. We are happy to help you find a replacement if you give us the proper notice, however anything less than 48-hours is much more difficult to find a replacement and therefore we ask you to assume the responsibility of finding someone to fill in for you. Grandmas, husbands, friends etc. are always welcome to fill-in for you.

**No-show volunteers or those who cancel less than 48 hours in advance will be issued a $20 cancellation fee that will be deducted from their sales profit check. Volunteers who shop at the pre-sale and fail to fulfill their shift commitment will forfeit 10% of their sales profits in addition to being issued the $20 cancellation fee. We could not put on this sale without our dedicated volunteers and we thank each and every one of you for your support of WEERUNS. However, in-order to continue to offer a top-notch sale, we must be able to rely on you to fulfill your scheduled volunteer shifts.**

Volunteers help run our sale smoothly. Jobs can vary depending on the event and the time of day. Please look at the volunteer sign-up schedule available on MySaleManager for a detailed look and descriptions of available shifts. There are a variety of jobs available from: Front door, Cashiers, Scanners, Put-backs, Set-up, Sorting, Breakdown, etc. Please make sure to include any requests (ie: physical limitations, working with friends) or indications of previous volunteer experiences with WEERUNS in the notes section of the online volunteer sign-up form. We will do our best to honor requests but can’t make any guarantees. 

You will receive your volunteer assignment once you arrive for your shift. We will give you a quick overview of your shift responsibilities once you arrive–PLEASE BE PUNCTUAL. You can learn anything necessary in minutes. 

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes to your shift. Most of the volunteer duties require standing and/or walking the sales floor.

If you need a seated job (ie: you are pregnant or can’t stand/walk for long periods of time), please email info@weeruns.com. Include your name, volunteer shift (date/time) and a note about your limitation. We will do our best to match you with a less physically demanding job

YES! Volunteering is an amazing opportunity for some adult interaction! We encourage you to grab some girlfriends and enjoy some kid-free time with us or just come solo and you’ll be welcomed with open arms. Please sign up for the same work shift and send an email to info@weeruns.com. Please be sure to include your name, volunteer shift (day/time) and your request to work with specific people by listing their names. We will do our best to accommodate putting you together.

Absolutely! We have unloading and loading “male” shifts that require heavy lifting/setting up racks and shelving. These shifts are perfect for husbands and qualify you for a Super VIP pass (you must also work 1 regular volunteer shift as well) in which you get in an extra 30-minutes early, at 4:00pm for the SUPER VIP shopping pre-sale. A grandparent/friend is always welcome to volunteer with us and pass along their pass to you. 

Unfortunately, children are not allowed to come with you during your volunteer shift. Our events stay super busy and we will need all your focus on completing your volunteer duties and serving the families at the event.
